District 2 is turning out to be “a big construction site” with significant construction works which are being carried out such as East – West Highway, Thu Thiem Tunnel, Phu My Bridge Beltway, Cat Lai Industrial Park, Tan Cang Port. In addition, residential areas in Thanh My Loi, An Phu Ward, Thu Thiem New Urban City, new schools have been coming into existence; health and cultural centres, vocational schools are being built and reformed, administrative district center being established in order to lay the foundation for District 2 to become a new, modern and civilized city.

Nhon Trach District lies in the South-West of Dong Nai Province, which belongs to primary economic zone in the South lying triangular economy zone – HoChiMinh City, Bien Hoa City, and Ba Ria Vung Tau Special Zone; and Sai Gon River.
